Today The Sweet Life turns one!
This year has been incredible! A little more than a year ago I was working a job I disliked, holding on to two seemingly useless degrees (photography and culinary) and constantly questioning what to do with my life. Now because of The Sweet Life I am able to use my professional training and do something I LOVE.
I owe a big thank you to all of you. By following, sharing your thoughts and questions, and spreading the word, you have helped me make my dream a reality.
Now, a visual tour of some of this past year’s highlights:
This was my first picture to be accepted by Food Gawker. After that VegNews picked it up
and featured it in their article “5 Delectable (and Easy) Gourmet Vegan Popsicles“.
I wrote this recipe for One Green Planet
which quickly became the most popular recipe on their site for much of 2012
Jason’s favorite recipe from the year. And he’s a chocolate guy.
These Three Ingredient Pecan Tartlets slowly and steadily infiltrated Pinterest
making it my number one traffic source.
My most popular recipe of all time.
Last Christmas these cookies were featured and pictured in theKitchn
This cheesecake took first place for best dessert in the November Vegan Virtual Potluck.
My favorite photograph
My most controversial recipe. Need proof?
But really when it all comes down to it, this year can mostly be summed up right here:
Thank you again for spending your time with me on this blogging adventure. This next year is going to be AWESOME!
